When does Mappa launch?
We're finishing the build now, launching on iOS first. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment it's live.
Does the app track me all the time?
No. Location is recorded only during an outing you start. It keeps recording with your phone in your pocket and the screen locked — like a running app — and stops when you stop the outing.
What about battery?
Tracking uses GPS in the same way running and cycling apps do. Expect similar battery use during an outing and none the rest of the time.
Does it work abroad without data?
Yes — Mappa is offline-first. Exploring is recorded on your phone regardless of signal, and syncs later when you're back online.
Can I delete my data?
Always: your map and trips can be deleted in-app, and deleting your account removes synced data from our servers. Details in the privacy policy.
